Dear God—

Thank you for my safe home.

Thank you for the food in my refrigerator.

Thank you for my sweet, supportive sisters.

Thank you for my reliable car.

Thank you for my being able to afford insurance.

Thank you for my sweet cats.

Thank you for my comfortable bed.

Thank you for my awareness of new possibilities.

Thank you for the pretty view outside my window.

Thank you for the chance to help someone else.

Thank you for the entertainment on TV.

Thank you for that good new restaurant.

Thank you for my finding someone to clear the viruses from my computer.

Thank you for the good rehearsal today.

Thank you for that intriguing "chance" encounter yesterday.

Thank you for that cool outdoor furniture I enjoyed today.

Thank you for my eyesight which is correctable to 20/20. I love seeing!

Thank you for my smart friendly neighbor, Cindy.

Thank you for the good public swimming pools I use each week.

Thank you for my healthy body and my ability to use that pool.

Thank you for my being reminded by my friend Patrice that I LOVE swimming!

You get the idea.

This prayer changed my life. It started as a coping mechanism when I felt like all was lost. It evolved into a luxurious way of life. Gratitude feels good. Next time you're obsessing about something, or if you can't sleep, count your blessings. You have more blessings than there are sheep in the world.
